Creating Our Own Short Film ~ English
Best Friend Counselling
Our film is based on two best friends (Xavier and John) that are going to counselling to fix their relationship because the have had some tough times, but it turns out that John has been cheating on his best friend with another guy named Frank.
This is a retelling of the Merchant of Venice because we took the main principles of the court scene and transformed it into a modern setting.
The 2 additional film techniques we used were high angle and over the shoulder. We chose a high angle to make John look weak and felt like he couldn't do anything to help himself, and we chose over the shoulder to give the viewer some perspective.
Some challenges we encountered was that we didn't have that many days where our whole group was at school so it was hard to get our filming finished so next time we will make sure everybody comes. Another factor was that we couldn't find a good area to film because we needed a place that was empty and a place we could be loud in, we eventually settled with our classroom.
If we were to do this project differently I would plan out where we are going to film in advance and actually write a script as we did this whole film improve.

Purpose ~
To help understand Millennials and improve wellbeing through reducing screen time.
So today in Wananga we learned about how screens and digital devices can really take over our lives and also mess with our love if we ever try to get a job and were addicted to our phones, and if you're on your phone while in a job interview it can be classed as disrespect and makes the people around feel like that you don't care about what's going on around you and you don't want the job.
He was also talking about how you shouldn't be charging your phone next to if you are trying to sleep because anytime during the night you will try and go on it and you wouldn't be able to head back to sleep since you've been around bright lights for too long.
There was a key point that he had a chat about while he was in the interview, he was talking about how that the younger generation on their phone is like adults gambling and smoking because for adults that is addicting and like for kids and teenagers being on your phone is addictive.
He says that our younger generation is bad for this stuff because our body drags us to social media like checking how many followers we have on Instagram, what is our highest snap score, how many friends we have on Facebook, and how many likes we have on a certain Instagram post, we just have the urge to check it every day or even every 3 hours because we are so caught up on our phone and devices.

Christchurch Rubbish
Christchurch Rubbish
So this week and last week in Social Studies we have been learning about Rubbish and how we should properly recycle our Rubbish by also putting the right Rubbish in the right bin that it should be put in, here is some information that I have found out and came here to share with you what I have learned.
When our yellow bins get collected by the Rubbish Trucks, if the trucks sense more than 10% or more rubbish they don't collect the rubbish and if this continues to happen the bins get confiscated, then if they want to get the bins back they have to pay $97.65 to get the bin back, and they have to promise that they'll put the right rubbish in the right bins, somehow they get tracked to see if they are sticking to the rule of the agreement, there are many yuck and stupid things that get put into the bins, stuff such as Guns, Dead Animals, Plastic, Glass, Cardboard & Much more waste.

Fitness.
So this week in P.E we were learning about how good Fitness can be for you, how being fit can help in life, and things can also ruin you from being fit.
Here are some questions that we got asked to answer
What does being physically fit mean?
To be physically fit means to be in a state of health and well-being. Physical fitness is defined as the body’s ability to function efficiently and effectively in work and leisure activities, to be healthy, to resist disease, and to react to emergency situations.
What makes us unfit?
Diet, Your Body, Smoking & Drugs.
In my eyes, I would think that I am fit for my age and I would like to stay that way as long as I can.
