In science we tried to filter dirty water and make into clear water some of them worked but they went a little bit clearer but not perfect. Our water was still really dirty but we had to make water clear using
Materials
1. Half A Bottle
2. Funnel Out Of The Bottle
3. Sand
4. Stones/Pebbles
5. Filtered Paper - Into A Cone
What Else Is Like Filtered Paper:
1. Coffee Plunger
2. Pool Filter
3. Tea Bags
4. In Your Body
Steps :
1. Cut The Bottle
2. Make A Funnel
3. Get The Paper Filter
4. Make A Cone From The Filter
5. Put The Sand In The Funnel
6. Put The Pebbles On The Sand
7. Fill Some Of The Bottle With Dirty Water
8. Then See If It's Clear Or Still Dirty
The Speed Of The Water Coming Out Of The Funnel It Was Slow But Fast At The Same Time.
In The End It Sort Of Worked So You Can Try This Experiment Out Yourself.
I am a student at in Uru MÄnuka. In 2020 I was a year 9 and in 2021 I will be a year 10. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.
Hi Levi
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading about your filtration experiment. I wonder if next time you can be careful about your capital letters. Even in science, we need to remember our writing rules. We should only have full stops on names/places and after full stops. You have earned your point for this activity.
I look forward to reading more of your science posts.
