DTE Sphero Project

DTE Sphero Project

For a few weeks in my DTE class we have been working with Sphero to create some type or presentation. My group worked around space and planets. Nathan worked on the code while me and Carmyn worked on the project itself. We created 2D planets on paper and made it pleasing to the eye. The Sphero would roll around the planets and then stop and give information about the planets.

The things i struggled with were actually paying attention to what i was doing and not getting distracted.

The things that made want to do this project were drawing the circles and colouring in the circles.

The one thing that inspired me to do this type of Sphero experiment was the struggles of trying to make the Sphero to go into a smaller circle every time and every turn.

Report: the things i liked about this was creating something different to everyone else because their ones are more creative stuff they made cars

Turned Out Like:                                                                                      Mean't To Be Like:

Socrates Quotable Quote

Socrates Quotable Quote

"No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength if which his body is capable"

What does the quote mean, in your own words? - I'm my opinion this quote is when you are living your life to the max and not giving up on your physical.

What is wrong with quote? -
How can we make it more inclusive? - It needs to include all genders not just one in particular.

Eye Dissection

Eye Dissection

Aim: To dissect a cow's eye and look at the different parts of the eye.

Equipment:

1. Cow's Eye

2. Newspaper

3. Rubber Glove

4. Tray

5. Scissors

6.Tweezers

Method:

1. Set up a tray with newspaper on the desk, the tray on top and the scissors and tweezers in the tray.

2. Put on a rubber glove.

3. Start to remove the excess fat and meat from around the eyeball before dissecting it.

4. Puncture a hole in the cornea where the cornea and the sciera meet.

5. Cut around the cornea so that the vitreous fluid leaks out of the eye onto the tray.

6. Once the cornea has been totally exposed. Once this has been done you will be able to remove the lens from the iris.

7. Cut the eye in half so that the inside is totally exposed. Once this has been done you will be able to access the retina at the back of the eye.

8. You should now have placed the retina, lens, cornea and Iris on a piece of paper.

9 The dissection is now completed and all parts of the eye need to be wrapped up and trashed. The trays and Utensils that were needed must be rinsed and the rubber gloves thrown out.

SUMMARY:

The cow's eye has exactly the same parts as the human eye expect for it ability to see better in the dark.

5 Types Of Leadership

Leadership:Encouraging your teammates/ group members is a part of leadership and a good leader involving everyone in the group to make a decision. I think a leader should involve everyone in the group to make a decision and always encourage their teammates or group mates.

DTE Work Sphero Work

So in my class Me,Camryn & Nathan are working on a poster that has 3 planets and the goal for us is to try and get the Sphero to spin around the whole entire Planet in one run.. The way we done this is that we found a object that was a perfect circle and traced around it and when we successfully drew the circle we had to find another circle smaller than the original circle!
