What Is Their Environment? - 

They live in open areas covers in shrubs and other trees, bushes and other types of things that cover up the nature in the jungle or desert typed places.

They live in places that have a lot of wood just sitting around in the middle of nowhere.

Lions have to kill any type of animal that has seem to wander around the lands that they have been staying for a very long time, so any other type of animal that has trespassed has to get killed or if they down get kills stared at or chased down and if they get away because the Lion stopped chasing they are lucky because it could have been over for that animal that wandered into there land!

Orana Park Trip 2019

So on Monday we went to Orana Park in two groups so It was 7/8 TZ And 7/8 BH so we got sorted into groups Group 1 and Group 2 i was in Group 2 but i got switched into Group 1 because i was in the wrong group.

So the first thing that we did the Meerkats and we had a little look at them before we had to go to a different type of Animals, like the Emu's, Pigs and others they were pretty cool looking.

The next thing that we did was The Reptiles house there were like camouflaging with the leaves and branches that they were staying in, but i have a couple photos on my phone that i can't put onto the Chromebook because we aren't aloud our phones out!

My Group Leaders names were - Elizabeth And Bethany.

The best thing that i thought was the Giraffes or Lions because the lions were massive and the Giraffes we cool because you got to feed them with the food that we got told to feed it.

The Leaders did a great job at telling us what all the animals do, eat,what there favourite thing to do, age and names of the animals she was good at telling us what to do and not what to do.

Sratch & Sphero Experiment

 Hi I'm Levi and I'm writing about an robot experiment that we have tried out and we used stratch go and I'm really enjoyed playing with the robot!

What Is Stratch?
Stratch is a app or website that you can use for coding and practise if you wanna be and coder for famous people if they want their houses done with cool technology.
In Stratch you can make animations and keep improving you skills of being an animater!

What Is Sphero?
Sphero is a ball robot that get controlled with another app that generate the Sphero to move and when you move you have a circle and a dot that moves and which ever direction the dot is face you robot go and follows where your controlling it to go!

What Do These Apps Have In Common?
They both have coding tasks to do and they both can controll something!

Which Do You Prefer And Why?
I prefer Stratch because you can do more things on it and on Sphero u can only controll the robot!

Hurumanu P.E Bench Ball

So last week we did a game called "Bench Ball" and our teacher didn't choose to do this for us we are in groups and we had to choose a sport to teach this P.E lesson.

So for the Warm-Up we did running-jogging for about ten minutes before we did the other Warm-Up which was Star-Jumps we did about 80 of them because the first time we did it we done it wring and some people weren't doing them, so we did another 40, and after that Warm-Up we did High-Knees and we had to 20 but again we had to do it a couple more times to get it right.

Then we had a little game before we started Bench Ball we played Sneak Up On Granny I didn't even get to be Granny because i was just chilling in back waiting to sprint up to them.


Then we actually had to play the game and I couldn't wait to play it because I hadn't played the game in ages, so the first thing we did was run around in our individual groups and we got ready for the game, The First Game Was ( Year 8 BH VS Year 8 TZ ) and unfortunately we lost but then the Year 8's Versed The Year 7's.

Thankfully we won that one but they did good they had about 4 players left and we finished with all of us on the bench even know not much space was left on the benches!

Graduate Profile - 2, I worked with other successfully to get them onto the bench and tried to get the win which we did!

Odd Family (Roll Play)

So the odd family is a play that Me,Vin,Nathan,Tamani And Jayden did we did an odd family because all of us are odd people in the middle of know here so that's why!?

Our story starts with us in a helicopter and we land but I think the pilot was a bit scared of us and he ran as soon as we landed but we ended up getting stranded in the middle knowhere fuck me daddy

Ella West Book Talk

So today we talked about books in the autoturim but the thing is that the author was the one talking about the book and what is in the book for the people that haven't read or even heard about the book.

The things that she talked about how she murdered the people in the story pitch black so she had to use night vision goggles and hide so the person who set the car on fire couldn't see her but she could see him walking towards the car.

And then she started asking people for information and questions that they wanted to know and I didn't ask any.

So for P.E me and my group (Hamid,Gerald,Shreya,Jessica,Ashton,Danni,Charlie And Tevita)

Our Sport That we chose was Tchoukball and we didn't know what game was because Miss Simpson told us to check it out and see if we wanted to do it or not.

We chose it because we wanted a different type of sport to play that wasn't Basketball, Touch or all those popular sports that everyone wants to do!

So today we did drill and runs around the court to get us warmed up, near the middle of the session we had to get a trampoline to actually do Tchoukball

What we did:The First activity we did was a clay stop motion movie, we had to process on a piece of paper and draw what is going to happen on the actual stop motion.
What I learned:How to make clay people and film a stop motion movie, and to work in groups that the teacher put us in to work as a team even if we didn’t know each other that well.
What I enjoyed:The thing I enjoyed the most was the clay making because it was something new to some of us and we had a chance and time to finish the work that we got given, The task was different from anything else we have done this year so i really enjoyed it
What I found difficult:One of the hardest things that I found about the clay making was the actual filming because you had to make sure that there wasn’t a big gap in between the shot before.

Rainbow Mufti Day

So last week our C.I.P Group had to get into groups of 2 and make a DLO about the Radical Rainbow day they we have organised for the whole school and everybody who participates pays $1 for kids can to get some shoes or clothes.

Narrative Writing 2019 Term 3

So this is my template of my writing that me and my group had to do to tell a story about our story that we had to try and make with clay that we had to finish on Monday but we get to do it and we have to finish it so this is my template that i made!

The Money Truck 

It’s a story about a couple of people, Charlie And Rose on
The 6th Of January 2019.
They both go to Hornby High School and had an abundance of money $10,000,000.
They transferred the money from the bank to Hornby High School.
They used the truck they had serviced for a couple hours or more!
There was a bit of a mist downtown and the Windows on
nearly every car were starting to fog up,
the roads were starting to get icy so they had to be careful.

When the school was waiting for the truck to arrive they got a call saying that the
truck has just broken down on the side of the road randomly, there was a good
amount of gas left
so they didn't know what was wrong. T
hey had a thought that the engine may have popped or
busted! But after the truck had just broken
down they tried to come up with a plan to give the
money to Mr Sutton by the end of the day or by the next morning so they quickly made a plan!

C.I.P Colour Of Kindness

So today me and Camryn have made and slideshow well we have started not finished an colour of kindness that is when you make everything black and white and when you give someone something then they turn into Colour so here is my slideshow that we made!

Clay Play - Hurumanu, Art

In the middle of last term we started this thing called Art we started on clay in the middle of last term and we are still doing it but we need to finish them by the end of this week.

The people in my group are Miguel,Jrae,Nathan And Myself we haven't finished and by then end of this week i don't think that we will by the looks of things, we still need to make all the people and put them on the set and record it so the people in our class can see it!

Our plan is to get people to donate money to Hornby High School and out it into a truck and send it over to them but its a long way to get to the school from where they are but unfortunately they didn't put enough fuel in the truck and they broke down and they got robbed and they about a quarter of the money is got stolen but they manage to get the truck going again and they tried to hunt down the people who stole the money!

The truck ended up seeing the police pulling over 3-5 cars over because they had a crazy amount of money and then the people had to give the money back!

C.I.P Mindfulness Colouring Competition

Today In C.I.P we have been planning a colouring in contest or competition for the younger kids in our school. It has to show Mindfulness or Kindness so we had to watch a Mindfulness video to help us with this idea but it was just a Music Video and some clips of her colouring in! Music Video!                                   

Note : I have not finished this but i will be working on it to make it a little bit better than it already is but check back this week to see if i have finished!

Little Story!

One Stormy Night By Myself In My Bed Listening To 80s Retro (my music) And It Relaxed My Body And Made Me Warm I’m Glad It Did After That I Wanted More (rhymes) Made Me Sleepy And Made Me Yawn A Couple Minutes It Made Me Scorn. But In The Morning I Felt Warm And Fuzzy My Family Came Over So I Showed My Cuzzies!

So last week me and my group (Jayden,Vin And Me) did this thing called Garage Band and we made a song called . . . (doesn't have a name) but this took about 1 hour or longer (wasn't counting) but this is what the song sounds like!

Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple

On Tuesday The 14th Of May  had a fun day ahead because the teachers kindly took us to a fun place and a very religious place the Fo Guang Shan Buddhist Temple.
So In the morning my class had to do a spelling test till 9:30 and then we went on the bus to head straight there no rush.
So we finally get there after about 15 - 20 Minutes we line up in two groups Group One and Group Two i was in group two with heaps of my friends.
The first thing my group did (group one) made some flowers (lotus flower) or a nymphaea nelumbo it took some time but it worked and looked pretty, I put the lotus flower in my hair for a little bit.
Then we did the 3G4G That stands for 3 Goodness 4 Givings that is what their saying is,it means to look after people that you know or you don't know.
We then walked upstairs carefully because there was some very expensive stuff sitting there so we walked carefully but when we got upstairs we were in this endless hallway (what they called it) there was a painting on the wall that makes it look like there was still some stuff left to walk down but there wasn't you would just walk into the wall would wanna do that!
After that we went into a room that was upstairs and we got to water the Buddhas (not me) some other people did and then we got handed two things to represent the Buddha’s.

Rules?

A big team game played between 2 teams, Kioma and taniwha on a large circular field. Played for 3-4 quarters or  2 halfs just to make it longer and not much stops, teams roles of Kioma and Taniwha at half time.

Kioma score by touching Pou/s with the Ki then running the Ki through Te Roto and placing it down in Pawero to convert pou touches into points. Kioma stop the other team, Taniwha.

Taniwha score by hitting the Tupu with the Ki. Kioma will have Kaitiaki (protecters) around the Tupu to stop Taniwha from hitting the Tupu, Taniwha must stop Kioma from scoring by either touching, 2 handed touch, or one handed up to the person who starts the game.

The amount of people allowed?

The amount of people that you are allowed in the game are 14, 7 in game , 7 on the bench waiting for the turn.

in hurumanu this week we are learning about music and we got two sheets to fill out about a nz solo singer and a band group this is what I have done.

Kiwi Kaha / Kiwi Can

Kiwi Can Is Now Kiwi Kaha For Year 7-8.

So today our class and a few others had to fill up a bucket and my class filled it all up had to do challenges for example just a smaller version of 1 Minute To Win It.

So the people that were doing the challenges were Tamani, Jesse, Jayden X2, Rarotonga and Shanarnia, Zack, Hamid, And Hans so the challenges were pretty good but Me, Tamani And Nathan weren't there for half of it because we got chosen to do some fun things for Period 1-3.

But overall the time I was there to watch some of it I enjoyed it, so some of the activities I saw were Tamani's one he did cone flipping but not the same size was the ones on the street the little cone that kids play with for their school but he was versing Charlie, Jared And Quaiden??, He Came 3rd out of 6 people.

We also had a lollie scramble Andre through lollies to the crowd sitting down I didn't try to get lollies because they weren't even near me

The Kiwi Kaha Challenges were fun when the time I was there but I would like to do one of the challenges next time!
