Business & Enterprise!

In B&E we are doing a Basketball Challenge and we the challenge is that the player that is playing the challenge get a minute to get the ball in the hoop from a set place that we have put done with a piece of tape. 

So when the 1 minute is over you get a fruit burst for trying and hope that they win the prize that we are giving away to the top 3 contestants!

And when they finish they have to right how many they got on a Talley Chart that we have made for the Competition.

Pricing : So the price we are making the games are going to be $2 a game but if they want to keep going they can pay $1 to get an extra 30 seconds!

But B&E is a task that Hornby High School have been doing for a while now so what you have to do is Create something that you think little kids would enjoy playing with their friends or family that might along!

Our Business team is sorted out to be what we choose to put each other and these are the places that we got to pick!

So when B&E is finished for the day we will Calculate who has got into 1st, 2nd & 3rd place .. whoever gets 1st place wins the basketball that we have been playing with to get all this information done .. 2nd & 3rd place gets a whole bag of Fruit Bursts to take home, share with friends or eat them on the way home!

Hopefully that our plan goes to planned because we still need to see if we can get a hoop because we've asked if we could borrow a hoop from the Principal from Hornby Primary but the hoop that belongs to them is Broken unfortunately!

And at the moment we are waiting for a response from the Principal from Hornby High School because we wrote a letter to him and he hasn't seen it yet but hopefully Mr. lets us use it!

The attendance is happening on the 23rd Of September!

The people that can attend in this Event happening in Hornby High School is mostly going to be Hornby Primary because they are our Neighbours but everyone in out area like South Hornby, Gilberthorpes & St. Bernadette's  

The part that I am most excited for is making the kids happy when they play our game/challenge and i would love to see their reaction when they win our prize!

The part that made us Struggle the most is try to figure out what we wanted to do because we had Multiple things in our mind but we had to choose one.

How has our group showed *CARR VALUES* we showed CARR Values because we have been doing lots of things with just three people not four!

Our Market Day Experience

Our Market Day Experience 

Hello people, so yesterday we had our Market Day!

So when we arrived at school the first thing we had to do was to go straight to the class that you are in for your Market Day class, so after that we had to ask the Office if Mr Scott was available, he was in a Meeting but luckily he was kindly willing to quickly get out of his meeting to lend us the hoop that we needed to complete our Activity.

So Mr Scott opened the trunk of his Truck and one half was in there and all of us got confused but then we Realised that the other half of the Hoop was in the back of the truck, so he lifted the pieces of the Hoop out of his truck and then he have the Hoop part to Matangi and the standing part of the Hoop to me!

But then I had to roll the Hoop through the office/seating area but luckily it didn't take long to do because it wasn't that Heavy, so I rolled it all the way from the office to the basketball court where we were setting the game up!

So after that we went back to class to get the other instructions for the day, so we had to get our Poster that we made and then a table that we had to tape the poster onto, so after we done that we needed to sort out how we could get the game going because the ball that Mr bought us wasn't the right ball that we wanted because that was a Small plastic one!

So Miss said that we could use her Basketball that her class uses for well being time and that idea that Miss gave us might of saved our day because that ball that Mr got us wouldn't of gone straight the slightest wind would've made the ball go everywhere else is wasn't supposed to go!

After we said up all the stuff that needed to be done we just waited for people to come and play our game that we spent a while trying to set up and design, but once the first person came along (Jordan) some people started to join up and watch but never play but Jordan's score wasn't the best I've seen him do, His score was *4*!

But after Jordan left another Customer came along (Jayden), so he was missing the first couple shots but he got on a role and his final score was *11*, this activity was pretty fun and I would do it again but just a different type of game!

So today we are doing Power to the People and it is about Politics so Whare told us to get into group from different classes and then make a brand and Politic company this is what we came up with ..

Definition : Store in an Object, the ability to move something 

Different Kinds Of Energy ...

Light Energy : The energy of the electromagnetic waves, Found in Microwaves x-rays, and visible light.

Heat Energy : Caused by the movement of Particles, Found in all hot objects.

Sound Energy : Energy produced by vibrating objects, Examples are Speech, Ultrasound & Music.

Chemical Potential Energy : Energy stored in the bonds between Particles, Found in substances like petrol and food.

Electrical Energy : The movement of Electrically charge Particles, Found in wires, generators and lighting. 

Gravitational Potential Energy : Energy stored in Objects due to their height above the ground.

Kinetic Energy : Energy due to motion of an Object, Eg. Moving cars, Running, Swimming.

Elastic Potential Energy : Energy stored in Stretched or Squashed Objects, Examples are Spring & Rubber Bands.
