Hurumanu Week 6

So this week we have been working on puppets and i am trying to make NBA Logo and i tried making a puppet when i was drawing it i ending up messing it up right at the end of finishing the drawing which is really annoying. every time i make a good drawing i end up messing it up as soon as i was about to finish but making puppet was fun i didn't get to finish mine i will try to get it finish by the end of the next of the session.

Year 8 Graduate Profile Self-Assessment

So these couple week 7/8TZ did a Graduate Profile to see what you have achieved and what you haven't and need to achieve during 2019.

This what I did for my work and you might not be able to see much of it but I did do some good writing.

Making Scones For Science

Aim : To look at the different kitchens in scones and their effects.

The Types of recipes my group chose:

1. Normal
2. Lemonade
3. Without Butter

1. Name Of Ingredients For Normal : Flour, Butter, Milk And Baking Soda.
2. Name Of Ingredients For Lemonade : Lemonade, Flour , Butter and Baking Soda.
3. Name Of Ingredients For No Butter : Milk , Flour And Baking Soda.

Materials :
1. Plate
2. Milk
3. Cup
4. Flour
5. Spoon
6. Bowl
7. Baking Soda

Process/Steps:
1. Container, Cups and Spoon
2. Measure Your Ingredients
3. Mix Your Ingredients
4. Mix Ingredients Firmly
5. Knead Your Ingredients
6. Put Your Scones On The Tray
7. Put Them In The Oven

1.  Normal	Height - 50mm	Colour - Brown	Taste - Good
2. Lemonade	Height - 60mm	Colour - White	Taste - Yuck
3. Without Butter	Height - 65mm	Colour - Brown	Taste - Alright

Filtering Water Experiment

In science we tried to filter dirty water and make into clear water some of them worked but they went a little bit clearer but not perfect. Our water was still really dirty but we had to make water clear using

Materials
1. Half A Bottle
2. Funnel Out Of The Bottle
3. Sand
4. Stones/Pebbles
5. Filtered Paper - Into A Cone

What Else Is Like Filtered Paper:
1. Coffee Plunger
2. Pool Filter
3. Tea Bags
4. In Your Body

Steps :
1. Cut The Bottle
2. Make A Funnel
3. Get The Paper Filter
4. Make A Cone From The Filter
5. Put The Sand In The Funnel
6. Put The Pebbles On The Sand
7. Fill Some Of The Bottle With Dirty Water
8. Then See If It's Clear Or Still Dirty

The Speed Of The Water Coming Out Of The Funnel It Was Slow But Fast At The Same Time.

In The End It Sort Of Worked So You Can Try This Experiment Out Yourself.

Activity Two - Describe My HomeTown

So my HomeTown is Christchurch, Christchurch is a calm place with lots of parks and playful places to go and have interesting times with your family everyday but if you don't want to all the way out to town and have a fun day with your family your might have a local park near your house, or even do some minigolf!

What Time Does Canadians Start School?

In Canada in high school they start school at 8:30am and finish at either 2:30pm they have 15 minute breaks but for lunch they always have an hour to do things at lunch like play with there friends but the rest is 15 minutes for recesses.

But in Canada you have to be 14 to begin high school and then you finish at the age of 18

SLJ A Book For Curious Kiwi

It's a big day! You're about to go on a airplane and travel to a really exciting New Country. But your going with Curious Kiwi he will keep you company while you get scared. But unfortunately Curious Kiwi forgot to take his book on the airplane he left it at home, Curious Kiwi is afraid he is going to get bored and he doesn't want to get bored because Canada is a long flight from New Zealand. Lucky I had another book that I had for the flight but I'm already reading one so he can read that.

What Did I Enjoy About This Story? : Everything It's a good story about what his life was like when he was getting bullied but somehow stopped getting bullied. He got bullied because he is rich and the way he got rich his dad was making loo rolls that was his job and when everybody heard how he got rich they started to bully him.
